SALARY AND PAY : Pay Scale – Pay Band – I, R 5200-20200 + Grade Pay  R  2000/-
AGE LIMIT : Candidates age msut be 18-23 years as on  01.01.2013.  Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.01.1990 and not later than 01.01.1995
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates who were passed matriculation / ssc /sslc / class-x / 10th class are eligible to apply .
SELECTION PROCESS : Candidates would be selected through PHYSICAL STANDARD TEST . WRITTEN TEST EXAM and  MEDICAL EXAMINATION

RECRUITMENT SCHEDULE : 

PST/PET :   Feburary- March , 2013
Written Examination :    12th May, 2013
Medical Examination :   June-August, 2013
Declaration of Result :    30th September, 2013
ADMIT CARD DOWNLOAD ADMISSION CERTIFICATE AC : ADMIT CARD/Admission Certificates (ACs) for the Examination indicating the time table and also venues of PST / PET, Written Examination and Medical Examination for each candidate will be issued to all applicants about two weeks before the  date of such tests/ examination. The facility of downloading of Admit Card/ACs from the Website of the concerned regional office will also be available simultaneously.
APPLICATION FEE : Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation  are exempted from paying fee.

• FOR OFF-LINE APPLICANTS-The candidates should pay the fee of  s  50/-  (s  Fifty only) by means of "Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)"only  .CRFS  stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country.
• FOR ONLINE APPLICANTS-The facility of submitting online applications is available on http://ssconline.ssc.nic.in  and  http://ssconline2.gov.in.  The candidates submitting their applications on-line should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of challan or net-banking.

AGE LIMIT : Candidates age must be between 18 to 23 years as on 1st Aug 2012.  Upper age limit is relaxable  by 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST Candidates
PHYSICAL STANDARDS REQUIRED :

1. Height.  Minimum height of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura,  Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J & K will be 165 cms.  The minimum height for Scheduled Tribes will be 162.5 cms.
2. Chest.  The Minimum chest of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J & K will be 78 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion).  The minimum chest for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be     76 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion).                     
3. Others.  170 cms (Height), 80-85 cms (Chest) & Weight according to height and age

SELECTION PROCEDURE : Candidates would be selected through physical standard test , physical efficiency test , written test .
