DURATION OF COURSE : 3 YEARS
ELIGIBILITY :  Candidates who have passed MBBS examination from Medical Colleges recognized by MCI and completed Internship at the time of their applying are eligible. Candidates who will be completing Internship on or before 31/03/2013 are also eligible to apply, provided they submit a certificate to the effect that is signed by the Principal/Dean. Requirement of compulsory rotating internship shall not be condoned unless approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The condonation of compulsory rotating internship shall be restricted to the period up to 31/03/2013 and not beyond that date. The condonation certificate from MCI must be submitted along with the application form.
APPLICATION FEE :: A demand draft may be obtained for Rs.2,000/-  (Rupees two thousand only) in favour of the Director, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, payable at Hyderabad or by paying Rs.2,000/-  in NIMS cash counter in person.
APPLY PROCESS / ONLINE REGISTRATION :: Candidates need to register online . The online registration link and how to apply online procedure are available at http://182.18.145.167/nimssetup28dec/auth/  . The online registration process includes the following four steps :

1. Register yourself by filling in the details and getting a User-ID and password.
2. Login with registered Email-Id.
3. Make payments and complete the application form.
4. Take a print out and despatch the printed form with Attachments. 

ENTRANCE TEST PATTERN :: The entrance examination is common to all post-graduate courses and consists of 150 single best response type MCQs covering all subjects carrying 150 marks to be answered in 150 minutes duration. Negative marks will be given for incorrect response. For every incorrect  response 0.25 marks will be deducted.
SELECTION METHOD : Candidates would be selected only through the merit scored in NIMSET-2013
RESULTS : The marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination and merit  list along with the names of candidates qualified for counseling will be  displayed on the notice board of the Institute/website  http://www.nims.edu.in on the date specified.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : The candidates must possess MBBS  or an equivalent  Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED : Candidates Must have either completed or due to complete One Year Internship (Rotatory Housemanship) training by 31st March 2013
APPLICATION FEE : Candidates need to pay an JIPMER MD/MS-2013 entrance fee Rs 1000/- for UR/OBC/INS-UR/INS-OBC Categories and Rs 800/- for SC/ST/INS-SC/INS-ST Categories candidates.
EXAM PATTERN SYLLABUS OF JIPMER MD MS 2013 ENTRANCE EXAM : The Entrance Examination is common to all and consists of 250 single best response type MCQs and will cover all subjects.  The Entrance Examination will be of the standard of MBBS Examination. Question paper consists of:

• PART I: Basic Clinical Sciences including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Forensic Medicine & Toxicology.- 100 Questions
• PART II: Clinical Sciences including Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics &  Gynecology, Community Medicine, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radio-diagnosis and Radio-therapy - 150 Questions 

JIPMER MD/MS-2013 HALL TICKET DOWNLOAD : Hall Tickets for the Entrance Examination shall be  available for download  to eligible candidates, whose Applications are complete and accurate in all respects, from 20-01-2013 Onwards. The Hall Ticket will contain Roll Number, Name, Photo, Signature and Venue of the Examination. To rectify discrepancy if any the candidate should contact the help desk immediately. Hall Ticket can be downloaded from the website: www.jipmer.edu.in as per the dateline given in the prospectus. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination unless he / she holds the Hall Ticket from the website of JIPMER.

NAME OF THE EXAM : NEET-PG  NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-POST GRADUATE 
WHAT IS NBE AND NEET-PG : National  Board  of  Examinations  conducts  entry  and  exit  examinations  at Postgraduate  and  Post  Doctoral  level  and  licensing  examinations  as  Screening T est  for  Indian  Nationals  with  Foreign  Medical  Qualifications.NEET-PG  is  the  eligibility-cum-ranking  examination  prescribed  as  the  single entrance  examination  to  various  MD/MS  and  PG  Diploma  Courses  under  ambit of Post Graduate Medical Regulations notified by Medical Council of India  with approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Qualifying NEET-PG is mandatory  for  gaining  entry  to  MD/MS/PG  Diploma  Courses  under  various universities/Institutions  in  the  country .Ministry  of  Health  and  Family  Welfare,  Government  of  India  has  notified National  Board  of  Examinations  for  conducting  the  National  Eligibility-cum-Entrance  Test  for  Post  Graduate  courses  (NEET -PG).
ELIGIBILITY FOR NEET-PG 2012 : Candidates who are in possession of MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or likely to complete the internship on or before 31st March 2013, may apply for NEET-PG 2013
NEET-PG 2013 EXAM FEE : Candidates need to pay Rs 2750/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates and Rs 3750/- for other candidates . Purchase Composite Information Bulletin-cum-Examination Fee Voucher from the selected branches of Axis Bank.The unique serial number on the Information Bulletin-cum-Examination Fee Voucher is available underneath the scratch panel and needs to be entered on the NEETPG website for the online registration and scheduling process. Candidates remaining absent from the examination or ineligible will forfeit their examination fee. EXAM PATTERN : NEET-PG is a qualifying-cum-raking examination for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses in medical institutions recognized for running these courses under ambit of Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations. NEET-PG examination shall be held in November/December 2012 for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses session 2013-14 and conducted as a Computer Based Test.   
The test comprises 240 multiple choice, single correct response questions in English Language only.The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computers network as per scheme prescribed.Kindly note that the weightage of MCQ’s is indicative and purely provisional. NBE reserves its rights to alter /vary /amend the same. There shall be no negative marking.
SUBJECT WISE WEIGHTAGE IN NEET-PG EXAM OF 240 QUESTIONS (IN NUMBERS) : The no of questions alloted for each subject would be available at http://www.nbe.gov.in/neetpg/scheme2.php
NEET-PG SYLLABUS : The Syllabus for the test shall comprise of subjects /knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India. An extract of the same is enclosed at Annexure B, kindly refer to MCI website www.mciindia.org for complete document.
SCHEDULE OF EXAM : The examination shall be conducted from 23rd November – 6th December, 2012, which is referred to as the testing window (with 24th, 25th, 28th November and 2nd December as non-testing days)
ADMIT CARD : At the end of Registration and Scheduling process the applicant will get a computer generated acknowledgement, this acknowledgment shall also be sent at the registered e-mail ID of the applicant. A print out of this acknowledgment constitutes the Admit Card-cum-Confirmation Slip. Candidate is required to affix a latest passport size photograph  on this acknowledgement. Candidate is required to bring a print out of this acknowledgement to the Test centre along with a identification document as per para 6 below .
