NAME OF THE POST : SSA SUB STATION ATTENDANT
VACANCY : 190 POSTS
SALARY AND PAY : Pay scale Rs 6400-20200 + Rs. 2800 Grade pay
AGE LIMIT : Candidates age must be 18 to 37 years as on 1 JANUARY 2012
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Full time regular 3/4 years Diploma in Electrical Engg. from an institute recognized by State / Central Govt. with minimum 60% marks or BE/B.Tech/ B.Sc. Engineering in Electrical Engg. with  a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent degree in respective discipline recognized by AICTE or AMIE in Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks from Institution of Engineers(India) Calcutta . The candidates must have passed Punjabi at least up to Matric/10 th Standard up to  the last date of receipt of applications (relaxable in case of November,1984 riots affected Sikh migrant candidates to the extent of 2 years with effect from the date of joining the post).
SELECTION PROCESS : Candidates would be selected through written test .
WRITTEN TEST DETAILS : The information regarding the written test will be made available on Web site www.pstcl.org  from time to time. The written test is tentatively scheduled to be held in the month of September, 2012 at Patiala/Chandigarh/Jalandhar or any other centre to be intimated while sending the admit card .
WRITTEN TEST ADMIT CARD  : The exact date, time and venue of  the written test and information regarding despatch of Admit Cards to the eligible candidates, with instructions of the test will be made available 10 days prior to the date of the test by Email and on web site of PSTCL.
APPLICATION FEE : Candidates need to pay an application fee Rs 200 /-  for SC candidates and Rs 500 /- for all category candidates other than SC
