VACANCY AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Vacancy according to recruitment rally place and trade and the educational qualifications required are available with the notification which can be download from the assam rifles official website at http://assamrifles.gov.in/uploads/recruitment/2f76e003-5ebf-4593-89b9-ab3c61d98469.DOC up to 8 SEPTEMBER 2012 ONLY .
AGE LIMIT : Candidates age must be between 18 to 23 years as on 1st Aug 2012.  Upper age limit is relaxable  by 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST Candidates
PHYSICAL STANDARDS REQUIRED :

1. Height.  Minimum height of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura,  Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J & K will be 165 cms.  The minimum height for Scheduled Tribes will be 162.5 cms.
2. Chest.  The Minimum chest of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J & K will be 78 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion).  The minimum chest for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be     76 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion).                     
3. Others.  170 cms (Height), 80-85 cms (Chest) & Weight according to height and age

SELECTION PROCEDURE : Candidates would be selected through physical standard test , physical efficiency test , written test .
APPLICATION FEE : Demand Draft for  Rs. 50/- (Rupees fifty only) in favour of the Directorate General Assam Rifles payable at  SBI DGAR, Shillong, Code No. 7338.
