ASSAM STATE FIRE SERVICES ORGANIZATION IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF FIREMAN STATION OFFICER SUB-OFFICER EMERGENCY RESCUE POSTS FROM THE ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES AND THE DETAILS OF THE RECRUITMENT IS AS GIVEN BELOW .

NAME OF THE POST - VACANCY - SALARY AND PAY - AGE LIMIT - EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : 

1. STATION OFFICER - 4 POSTS - SALARY AND PAY  :  For the post of Station Officer (PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 3300/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules  -  AGE LIMIT  :20 to 24 years as on 01-01-2012. (Relaxation of 3 years in case of candidates belonging to special categories like Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes (P) and Schedule Tribe (H) and other categories as specified by Govt. from time to time.  - EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS  : Minimum Educational Qualification is B.Sc. (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized Board/Institution. However, additional weightage during the interview will be given to the candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving
2. SUB OFFICER - 15 POSTS - SALARY AND PAY  : For the post of Sub- Officer (PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules  -  AGE LIMIT  :20 to 24 years as on 01-01-2012. (Relaxation of 3 years in case of candidates belonging to special categories like Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes (P) and Schedule Tribe (H) and other categories as specified by Govt. from time to time.  - EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS  : Minimum Educational Qualification is H.Sc. 3. FOREMAN - 58 POSTS - SALARY AND PAY  : For the post of Fireman (PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2100/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.  -  AGE LIMIT  :18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2012.(Relaxation of 3 years in case of candidates belonging to special categories like Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes (P) and Schedule Tribe (H) and other categories as specified by Govt. from time to time.   - EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS  : Minimum Educational Qualification is H.Sc. (Science) pass or equivalent examination from recognized Board/Institution. However, additional weightage during the interview will be given to the candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving.
4. EMERGENCY RESCUE -  7 POSTS - SALARY AND PAY  : For the post of Emergency Rescuer (PB-2) Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2100/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.  -  AGE LIMIT  :18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2012.(Relaxation of 3 years in case of candidates belonging to special categories like Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes (P) and Schedule Tribe (H) and other categories as specified by Govt. from time to time.  - EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS  :  Minimum Educational Qualification is H.Sc. (Science) pass or equivalent examination from recognized Board/Institution. However, additional weightage during the interview will be given to the candidates having knowledge of swimming and diving.

 SELECTION PROCESS : The candidates whose applications are found correct in all respects will have to undergo the physical measurement and fitness test first. If any candidate is found to have physical deformity to be detected by the medical Officer in the Selection Board, he will be debarred from participating in further tests. All candidates who are found fit in physical measurement and having no physical deformity will participate in the physical test and interview. The candidates must qualify in each event individually. The marks obtained by them in physical test/interview will decide merit list for final selection in case of Fireman and Emergency Rescuer. The marks obtained in the written test and physical and oral test will be complied together to determine merit list for selection of candidates to the Station Officers/ Sub-Officers posts
APPLY PROCESS : The candidate may submit their  applications in Standard Form along with 3 (three) copies of recent passport size photographs one of which should be pasted on the application form with attested copies of Certificates to the Addl. Director General of Police Cum- Director of State Fire Service Organisation, Assam, Panbazar, Guwahati – 1, personally or by ordinary post only.
