Applications are invited from eligible candidates by the POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED,a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of
India, as  EXECUTIVE TRAINEE in Electrical discipline to take the growth curve to further heights.

I.NAME OF THE POST ; EXECUTIVE TRAINEE in Electrical discipline.

II.NO.OF VACANCIES :- Vacancies exist in Unreserved and reserved, i.e. OBC (NCL), SC and ST categories.

III.AGE LIMIT AS ON 31-12-2013:- The age of the candidate must not exceed 28 years(maximum).

IV.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :-

1.Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg) from recognized University/Institute in Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/Electrical and Electronics/  Power Systems Engineering with Minimum 65% or Equivalent CGPA *.
2.AMIE in Electrical with Minimum 65% with both Sections A & B cleared by 31.03.2014.

V.SELECTION PROCESS ;-

1.The selection process will include the marks obtained (Out of 100) by the eligible candidates in the EE paper of GATE 2014, followed by group discussion and personal interview of the candidates who qualify in the GATE paper and have been shortlisted category wise for the GD and interview.
2.Candidates shall have the option for appearing the GD/ interview in Hindi or English.

VI.PAY SCALE :-Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 24900-50500 during the one-year training period.  The Corporation offers a very attractive  pay  package  which  is one of the best in the Industry. The approximate CTC* per annum are as follows:
1.During Training : Rs.  7.65 lakhs per annum
2.After Training   Rs. 13.4 lakhs per annum

VII.AGREEMENT BOND :-The selected candidates will be required to execute a service agreement bond to successfully complete the prescribed training period and thereafter serve the organization for at least three years. The amount of the bond is Rs. 1,00,000/- for General/OBC (NCL) candidates and Rs. 50,000/-for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

VIII.APPLICATION PROCEDURE :-

1.  Candidates have to register themselves and appear for  GATE  -2014  in Electrical Discipline (Code EE).
2.  Online Registration for GATE-2014 shall commence on 2nd September 2013.

2.Last date for Online submission of GATE Application :     03 Oct 2013
Last date for receipt of hard copy of Online GATE Application at respective GATE Offices:    10 Oct 2013

1.Commencement of  Online Submission of Application to POWERGRID (tentative) :    first week of January 2014
2.Last date for  Online submission of Application to POWERGRID (tentative):    second week of February 2014

POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED IS INVITING ONLINE APPLICATIONS FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF FIELD SUPERVISORS POSTS ON CONTRACT BASIS FROM THE ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES AND THE DETAILS OF THE RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION IS AS GIVEN BELOW
NAME OF THE POST : FIELD SUPERVISORS
VACANCY : 16 POSTS
SALARY AND PAY : The engagement is purely temporary in nature and on contract basis for a period of two years or completion of project whichever is earlier.Candidates would be paid Rs 23,000 /- for 1st year and Rs 25500 /- for the 2 nd year .
AGE LIMIT : Candidates maximum age limit must be 29 years as on 20 JUNE 2013
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Diploma Engineering in  Electronics and Communication  Discipline  from recognized technical Board/ Institute with minimum 55% marks.
EXPERIENCE : One year Post Qualification Experience  of construction, Testing and Commissioning, operation and maintenance activities of Optical Fibre network system  (SDH/DWDM/G-PON/MPLS, etc.). Experience in PSU/Listed Company particularly in Telecom sector shall be preferred.
SELECTION PROCESS : The selection will be on the basis of Personal Interview. However, the Management reserve the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria and/or to conduct a screening test, to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Personal Interview, if so required.
APPLICATION FEE : Candidates need to pay an application fee Rs 100 /- . Application Fee is to be paid in form  of  A/C Payee Demand Draft in favour of “POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD.” Payable at PATNA (preferably drawn on State Bank of India).Application fee is not refundable for any reason whatsoever.Note: SC/ST/Pwd and Ex-servicemen are exempted from payment of application fee.

FIELD SUPERVISOR-CIVIL ELECTRONICS  : 108 POSTS  -   Rs 230000/- FOR 1st YEAR AND Rs 25,000/- FOR 2nd YEAR  -Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering from recognized technical Board/ Institute with minimum 55% marks  -  Should have one year post qualification experience of construction, Testing & Commissioning, Operation & Maintenance activities of Optical Fibre Network System (SDH/DWDM/G-PON/ MPLS etc). Experience in PSU/Listed company particularly in Telecom Sector shall be preferred.

AGE LIMIT : Candidates maximum age must be must be 29 years as on 28 FEBRUARY 2013
SELECTION PROCESS : The selection will be on the basis of Personal Interview. However, the Management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria and  /  or to conduct a screening test, to restrict the number of candidates to be called for  Personal  Interview, if so required.Screening test, if conducted, shall be an objective type test of one hour duration for elimination purpose only and shall not carry any weightage in final merit.
