SALARY AND PAY : Rs. 5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2000 + admissible allowance . No TA/DA is admissible.
AGE LIMIT : Candidates age must be 18 - 27 years as on 18.08.2014 (Upper age limit relaxable for candidates belonging to  scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes up to five years and for candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes up to three years & others in accordance with the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time). Age relaxation for PH persons and Ex Servicemen would be as per extant orders of Govt. of India issued from time to time.

APPLICATION FEE : cost of application form is Rs 100/- and exam fee would be Rs.400/- .Woman candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically handicapped and Ex - servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of Examination fee . The concession is applicable to the candidates who apply for the unit where vacancies are available for the relevant category. If they apply against OC vacancies the fees prescribed for OC category has to be paid .The candidates have to pay the prescribed fee mentioned above through “Sunayasam” in any Head Post Office in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana States
APPLY PROCESS : The procedure to apply online is as given below .

1. The Prescribed Fee (application fee and Examination fee ) has to be paid  through“Sunayasam"
2. The Fee is to be credited under “Sunayasam Head:Postman Recruitment 2014.” at the Head Post Office with the details Name of the Applicant , Gender, Category, Special Category as per Matriculation/ SSC Records & Mobile Number for getting SMS.
3. The Candidate has to collect the receipt from the counter and check the correctness of the details of Receipt no, mobile no., Pin code, Amount and ensure their correctness.
4. The Candidate has to wait till SMS is received to his/her mobile number confirming the payment details (This will take 24-48 Hours)
5. After receipt of SMS the candidate is eligible for applying to the post through online mode.
6. For applying, the candidate has to browse the website www.appost.in
7. Before applying online the candidate has to keep all the relevant documents ready for entering the data as per the certificates (like DOB Proof, Certificate of caste, Ex Service man ,PH Certificate etc).
8. The Candidate has to keep ready of soft copies of his/her recent passport size photograph in JPG format(size not to exceed 20 KB).
9. The Candidate has to keep ready a soft copy of his/her signature made on a piece of paper with black ink in JPG format (size not to exceed 10 KB).
10. The Candidate has to update all the mandatory fields and confirm the declaration.
11. The Candidate has to look at preview for verification and correctness of data fed before submitting his/her application.
12. The Candidate has to submit the application by clicking“Save”button.
13. Since preview option is provided before saving the application, no correspondence will be entertained for modifying the application.
14. The Candidate can take the print out of the application and keep for further correspondence. They should not submit printouts of their application.

AGE LIMIT : Candidates age must be 18 to 39 years as on  1JANUARY 2014 .
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : i) Matriculation or equivalent qualification and National  Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman Trade. ii) The candidates who possess higher education as  Degree /Diploma in Electrical Engineering pass will be considered only if they have minimum  qualifications as National Apprenticeship Certifica te in Lineman Trade. iii) The candidates who passed  successfully National App renticeship Training Certificate in the trade of Lineman. iv) The candidates  must have done 2 years Apprenticeship in PSPCL/ PSTCL or erstwhile PSEB . The candidates must have passed Punjabi atleast upto Matric Standard with one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language, which may be specified by the Government
from time to time on or before the last date of submission of Application Forms i.e. 16.1.2014
SELECTION PROCESS : Selection will be made purely on merit basis. The merit will be made as per marks obtained in National  Apprenticeship Certificate in Lineman trade. The percentage marks obtained shall be rounded off to the nearest 2nd decimal digit for preparing the merit. No weightage shall be given for higher qualifications.
APPLICATION FEE :All categories except SC& Person with disability candidates need to pay an application fee Rs 350 /- , candidates with disability need to pay an application fee Rs 200 /- and the SC candidates need pay an application fee Rs 125 /-

WRITTEN TEST SYLLABUS EXAM PATTERN : The Question paper for the Written Test shall be of Class 10th standard, consisting of 100 multiple-choice (four) objective type questions, mainly aimed to assess general knowledge/awareness, mathematics, general science and reasoning etc. The duration of Written Test shall be of 90 minutes. Question paper shall be printed in Hindi, English, Urdu, Marathi and Gujarati only. There will be Negative marking for wrong answers. 1/3 rd Mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer i.e. one mark shall be deducted for every three wrong answers.

SALARY AND PAY : During training period, a consolidated pay of Rs 10,700/- p.m. during 1st year and Rs 12,200/- p.m. during 2nd year will be paid. In addition,they shall be entitled for medical facility for self, spouse and dependent children and Company accommodation as per availability. After successful completion of two year’s training period, candidates will be regularized in the regular grade/ pay scale of Rs 9160- 3%-13150/- (S-3).
AGE LIMIT :  Candidates age must be 18 to 28 years as on 1 SEPTEMBER 2013
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :  Matriculation with Three year’s full time Diploma in Engineering in any of the following disciplines from an Institute recognized by State / Central Govt. : Metallurgy for OCTMetallurgy; Electrical for OCT-Electrical; Mechanical or Mechatronics for OCTMechanical/ Mechatronics; Computer Science/IT for OCT-Computer Science or IT; Electronics for OCT-Electronics and Instrumentation for OCT-Instrumentation.
SELECTION PROCESS :  Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a Written Test, information for which will be provided in the Admit Card. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Written Test will be intimated to appear in Interview.
