STIPEND : Candidates would be paid Rs 6000/- per month stipend during the 1 year apprenticeship .

AGE LIMIT : Candidates age must be 14 to 25 years as on  1 NOVEMBER 2013

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./ B.Tech.) in Engineering for Graduate Apprentice in the relevant branch with Minimum aggregate of 70% marks for GEN/OBC and 60%  marks for SC/ST from Institute / University recognized by AICTE. . Degree acquired from Distance/ Correspondence education system is not eligible for the apprenticeship. Candidates who have passed  B.E./B.Tech./ Diploma before January 2011 are not eligible for Apprentice training. Hence, such  candidates need not to apply . Candidates having 1 year post qualification experience or undergone  Apprentices training for 1 year or more are not eligible to apply as per Apprentices Act.

SELECTION PROCESS : Candidates would be selected as mentioned below

1. Scrutiny of all applications received as per advertisement will be done to ascertain eligibility. Based on eligible applications received, selection process for Graduate/Diploma apprentices will be decided.
2. Applications for Wards of Employees (son/daughter/spouse) of BHEL will be considered separately

SALARY AND PAY : The Telecom Technical Assistant shall be appointed in the IDA pay scale of Rs.13600-25420with annual increment @ 3% of basic pay. In addition, HRA, Perks, Medical Benefits, LTC etc. will be admissible as per company rules. The emolument at the minimum of the pay scale will be around Rs.18360/- excluding HRA, perks, medical benefits, LTC etc.
AGE LIMIT : The applicant should be between 18 to 27 years of age as on closing date 31.05.2013of receipt of applications from candidates .
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : The Applicant must possess, as on the closing date of receipt of applications i.e. 31.05.2013from candidates, the educational qualifications in any of the following disciplines from a recognized Institute/University: a) Three Years Engineering Diploma in -Telecommunications Engineering -Electronics Engineering -Electrical Engineering -Radio Engineering -Computer Engineering -Instruments Technology -Information Technology. b) M.Sc. (Electronics) from a recognized institution/University.
SELECTION PROCESS : Selection will be through a Competitive Examination. The TTA cadre being an SSA based cadre, selection will be based on Merit of the concerned SSA only, followed by a medical test, Pr-appointment formalities etc. Posting will be given subject to successful completion of training.
