APTET BACKGROUND : The implementation of the Right of Children to free and compulsory education (RTE) Act 2009 requires the recruitment of a large number of teachers across t he country in a time bound manner. In spite of the enormity of the task, it is desirable to  ensure that quality requirement for recruitment of teachers is not diluted at any cost. It  is therefore necessary to ensure that persons recruited as teachers pos sess the  essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at the  Elementary  level Classes (I to VIII).
APTET PAPERS : aptet would be conducted in two papers . PAPER-I for CLASSES I TO V and PAPER-II for CLASSES VI to  VIII .
ELIGIBILITY AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : As given below .
  • Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V:  for candidates already in
    possession of Respective Teacher Education Certificates or pursuing final year  of respective Teacher Education Course during 2012-2013 or earlier: Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) wi th at least 45% marks and  pass in or pursuing final year of 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education  OR Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalen t) with at least 50% marks and  pass in  or pursuing final year of  4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education  (B.El.Ed.)  OR Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalen t) with at  least 50% marks and  pass in  or pursuing final year of  2  -  year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
  • Minimum Qualifications for Classes VI-VIII for candidates already in possession of Respective Teacher Education Certificates  or pursuing final year of Respective Teacher Education Course during 2012-2013 or earlier: B.A./B.Sc./B.Com and pass in or pursuing final year of 2  -  year Diploma in Elementary Education. EXAM PATTERN SYLLABUS : The written examination for the post of ACIO-II/Exe contains two papers namely Paper I (Objective type) and Paper-II (Descriptive type on English language only). The total duration for both Papers is 1 hour and 40 minutes. Paper I will focus on General Awareness/General Knowledge, Reasoning, Comprehension and Mathematical ability while Paper II will be designed to check the knowledge of English writing skill and analytical capability.
APPLICATION FEE : Candidates nee to pay an application fee Rs.  100/-  (Rupees  Hundred  only). Only male candidates belonging to General and OBC category are required to pay the fee. All SC/ST and female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.Fee can be paid any one of the following mode
  • OFFLINE PAYMENT (Cash Deposit): In this option, the applicant will be required to take a printout of Challan form (wherein name of the applicant and his/her Registration number will be printed) and deposit the fee in cash in any branch of State Bank of India after a gap of one working day. A counterfoil of this Challan would be given back to the candidate by the bank, indicating the transaction ID, which may be retained by the candidates.
  • ONLINE PAYMENT  (Internet Banking and ATM-Cum-Debit Card): The applicants having internet banking facility of State Bank of India or having ATM-cum-Debit card of state Bank of India can pay the fee online. Once the online payment option is selected by the applicant, he/she would be automatically guided to the website of State Bank of India and after paying the fee through a user friendly interface, he/she would be guided back to the registration form/website and a confirmation is immediately flashed regarding receipt of payment.
