NAME OF THE POST : ALLOPATHIC MEDICAL OFFICER AMO

VACANCY : 5647 posts

SALARY AND PAY : Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade pay 5400/- and other allowances as per Govt. Rules.

AGE LIMIT : Candidates age must be 21 to 40 years as on  1 JULY 2013 .

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Essential qualifications : candidate for direct recruitment must possess M.B.B.S. degree of a university recognised by the Medical Council of India. A Candidate who possess a post-gradute Degree/Diploma in Medical or Health Sciences in a particular subject of a University recognized by the Medical Council of India or the Uttar Pradesh Medical Council shall be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment. In addition to this, it is also necessary to be completed one year rotary internship till the last date of receipt of application form. 
  • Preferential qualifications : Other things being equal, such candidates shall be given preferences in the matter of direct recruitment - Who has served in the territorial army for minimum period of two years.   Who has obtained a "B" certificate of National cadet corps.  
SELECTION PROCESS :Candidates would be selected through interview .

APPLICATION FEE : Candidates need to pay an application fee Rs 95 /- for GENERAL / OBC candidates and Rs 55/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates .The E-Challan will be used to deposit the fee in any of the branches of State Bank of India or Punjab National Bank by the candidate according to his category. The fee will not be allowed to be deposited by any other mode except E-Challan.

E.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :-
1.Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or and equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed ) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from anIndian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
2.Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET and candidates having Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants
Commission Regulations , 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.


III.SELECTION PROCESS :-
1.Depending upon the number of applications recieved,the commission may short-list the number of candidates  either on the basis of their marks obtained OR By holding Screening test (Multiple choice objective type written examination).
2.The list of candidates whose applications are foundvalid or rejected after scrutiny will be made available in the Assam Public Service Commission’s website (www.apsc.nic.in) showing grounds of rejections in due course.

SALARY AND PAY : Pay details are as given below
  • For Medical candidates Rs.18,750+6600 (Grade Pay)+NPA plus other usual Allowances.
  • For  Non-Medical  candidates  MSc.  with Ph.D  Rs.16,740+5400 (Grade Pay) plus other usual Allowances.
  • For post of Senior Demonstrators in  Medical Physics,  (those with MSc)  of Rs.12,090 plus 4200 (Grade Pay) plus other usual Allowance.
AGE LIMIT : For eligibility to applying for these posts upper age limit as on 30.6.2013  will be  33 years. This is  relaxable  for  SC/ST  candidate  for  a maximum period of five years.    In the case of OBC  Candidates  it is relaxable  upto a maximum period of  three years. In the case of Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped  (OPH) candidates,  this is  relaxable  upto  maximum period of  5 years for General Category,  8 years  for  OBC  category and  10  years for SC/ST category candidates.b)  For those applying for these posts after completing  DM/M.Ch Courses,  the upper age limit will be 35 years.  The age limit is further relaxable for SC/ST candidates, OBC candidates & OPH candidates as above.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : 
  • For Medical Candidates == i)   A postgraduate  medical  degree  viz. MD/MS/MDS  in the respective discipline from  a recognized University/Institute. ii)   For the Post of Geriatric Medicine A Postgraduate medical  degree viz. MD  in Geriatric Medicine or MD in Medicine from a  recognized university/Institute. iii)  For the post of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorder A Postgraduate medical  degree  viz. MD in Medicine or MD in Respiratory Medicine  from  a recognized university/Institute. iv)  For the post of Emergency Medicine A postgraduate medical degree viz. MD in Medicine from a recognized university/Institute.v)   For the post of Laboratory Medicine:-A postgraduate medical degree viz.  MD in Laboratory  Medicine / Pathology / Microbiology / Biochemistry from a recognized University / Institute.
  • For Non-Medical Candidates  (For  subjects of Anatomy, Biophysics and Pharmacology)  ==  i)  The candidate should  possess M.Sc Degree in the subject concerned and ii)   Ph.D in the subject concerned/allied subject from a recognized University/Institute.
  •  For the posts of Senior Demonstrators in Medical Physics == M.Sc in Medical Physics with one year experience  OR  its equivalent recognized  qualification OR M.Sc in Physics with Diploma in Radiological Physics.(In the event of  candidate  having M.Sc with Ph.D,  the pay scale will be as in the case  of other Non-Medical candidates with Phd).
SELECTION PROCESS : An online written Examination of 80 Marks based on MCQs in the subject concerned (total marks 80) will be conducted for eligible Candidate on _23.06.2013 (Sunday) in Delhi/NCR  only.
ADMIT CARD DOWNLOAD : The exact time and place will be intimated in due course of time through admit card.  The Admit Cards of eligible candidates will be uploaded on website aiimsexams.org  w.e.f.  19.06.2013.  Candidates are required to take print out of their Admit Card & produce the same at the centre for written test. ELIGIBILITY :  Candidates who have passed MBBS examination from Medical Colleges recognized by MCI and completed Internship at the time of their applying are eligible. Candidates who will be completing Internship on or before 31/03/2013 are also eligible to apply, provided they submit a certificate to the effect that is signed by the Principal/Dean. Requirement of compulsory rotating internship shall not be condoned unless approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The condonation of compulsory rotating internship shall be restricted to the period up to 31/03/2013 and not beyond that date. The condonation certificate from MCI must be submitted along with the application form.
APPLICATION FEE :: A demand draft may be obtained for Rs.2,000/-  (Rupees two thousand only) in favour of the Director, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, payable at Hyderabad or by paying Rs.2,000/-  in NIMS cash counter in person.
APPLY PROCESS / ONLINE REGISTRATION :: Candidates need to register online . The online registration link and how to apply online procedure are available at http://182.18.145.167/nimssetup28dec/auth/  . The online registration process includes the following four steps :
  1. Register yourself by filling in the details and getting a User-ID and password.
  2. Login with registered Email-Id.
  3. Make payments and complete the application form.
  4. Take a print out and despatch the printed form with Attachments. 
ENTRANCE TEST PATTERN :: The entrance examination is common to all post-graduate courses and consists of 150 single best response type MCQs covering all subjects carrying 150 marks to be answered in 150 minutes duration. Negative marks will be given for incorrect response. For every incorrect  response 0.25 marks will be deducted.
SELECTION METHOD : Candidates would be selected only through the merit scored in NIMSET-2013
RESULTS : The marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination and merit  list along with the names of candidates qualified for counseling will be  displayed on the notice board of the Institute/website  http://www.nims.edu.in on the date specified.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : A recognized MBBS Qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualification included in part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Post-graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty mentioned in Section – A or Section- B of Schedule- VI or equivalent of the DHS Rule, 2009. Three years’ experience in the concerned specialty after obtaining the first Post graduate Degree or 5 years experience after obtaining the Post Graduate Diploma. (Note: - for the post of Physician (Chest & Respiratory Disease) three years’ experience in Respiratory Laboratories is required)
SELECTION PROCESS : The Selection will be on the basis on Interview. This Interview shall be organized by the Dean, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi.

NATIONAL BOARD OF EDUCATION IS INVITING ONLINE APPLICATION REGISTRATION FROM THE ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES FOR Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test DNB-CET-2013 FOR PROVIDING ADMISSION INTO DNP POST GRADUATE COURSES AND THE DETAILS ARE AS GIVEN BELOW
NAME OF THE EXAM : DNB-CET-2013 Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test
WHAT IS DNB CET : DNB-CET is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination for entry to various Post Graduate courses including Direct 6 years course in the specialty of Plastic Surgery, Neuro-Surgery, Cardio-thoracic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery.
ELIGIBILITY FOR DNB CET : Candidates who are in possession of MBBS degree/Provisional Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess permanent / provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India and have completed one year of internship/likely to complete on or before 31st January 2013 may apply for CET through online application.
DNB-CET EXAM FEE : Candidates need to pay an exam fee Rs 4250/- . It includes examination fees and information bulletin; Please note that information bulletin will not be sold separately, there is a composite voucher (as above) inclusive of examination fees and information bulletin. the list of AXIS BANK BRANCHES STATE WIDE are available at http://www.cet.natboard.edu.in/axis_list.php . Purchase Composite Information Bulletin-cum-Examination Fee Voucher from the selected branches of Axis Bank.The unique serial number on the Information Bulletin-cum-Examination Fee Voucher is available underneath the scratch panel and needs to be entered on the DNB-CET website for the online registration and scheduling process.Candidates remaining absent from the examination will forfeit their examination fee. Candidates are advised to read the rule position carefully and satisfy the terms and conditions for fulfillment of eligibility criteria before proceeding for payment of fees.
EXAM PATTERN : DNB-CET is an entrance examination and is an essential pre-requisite for entry to DNB Broad Specialty and Post MBBS Direct 6 years super specialty courses. The next session of entrance examination shall be held in November 2012 and conducted as computer-based test only. The test comprises 180 multiple choice, single correct response questions in English language only. Candidates successful in the DNB-CET shall be asked to participate in a Centralized merit based counseling conducted by National Board of Examinations for allotment of DNB seats at NBE accredited Institutions/hospitals/medical colleges in order of their merit and candidate shall be able to opt for the NBE accredited institution /hospital/medical college of their choice as per availability at their merit.The provisional list of National Board of Examinations accredited institutes where candidates can pursue DNB is available at NBE website www.natboard.edu.in .The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computer network as per scheme prescribed.Kindly note that the weightage of MCQ’s is indicative and purely provisional. NBE reserves its rights to alter /vary /amend the same. There shall be no negative marking.
SUBJECT WISE WEIGHTAGE IN DNB CET EXAM OF 180 QUESTIONS (IN NUMBERS) : The no of questions for the subject wise would be available at http://www.cet.natboard.edu.in/scheme2.php
SYLLABUS : The Syllabus for the test shall comprise of subjects /knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India. NAME OF THE EXAM : NEET-PG  NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-POST GRADUATE 
WHAT IS NBE AND NEET-PG : National  Board  of  Examinations  conducts  entry  and  exit  examinations  at Postgraduate  and  Post  Doctoral  level  and  licensing  examinations  as  Screening T est  for  Indian  Nationals  with  Foreign  Medical  Qualifications.NEET-PG  is  the  eligibility-cum-ranking  examination  prescribed  as  the  single entrance  examination  to  various  MD/MS  and  PG  Diploma  Courses  under  ambit of Post Graduate Medical Regulations notified by Medical Council of India  with approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Qualifying NEET-PG is mandatory  for  gaining  entry  to  MD/MS/PG  Diploma  Courses  under  various universities/Institutions  in  the  country .Ministry  of  Health  and  Family  Welfare,  Government  of  India  has  notified National  Board  of  Examinations  for  conducting  the  National  Eligibility-cum-Entrance  Test  for  Post  Graduate  courses  (NEET -PG).

ADMIT CARD : At the end of Registration and Scheduling process the applicant will get a computer generated acknowledgement, this acknowledgment shall also be sent at the registered e-mail ID of the applicant. A print out of this acknowledgment constitutes the Admit Card-cum-Confirmation Slip. Candidate is required to affix a latest passport size photograph  on this acknowledgement. Candidate is required to bring a print out of this acknowledgement to the Test centre along with a identification document as per para 6 below .
