AGE LIMIT : Candidates maximum age must be 28 years for GENERAL candidates , 31 years for OBC candidates and 33 years for SC/ST candidates as on 1 JANUARY 2013
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : 3 years full time Diploma in engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Metallurgy/ Chemical/ Ceramics/ Civil, and Instrumentation discipline from Govt. Recognized Institute
SELECTION PROCESS : Candidates would be selected through Written Test, Interview, and Medical Examination .
APPLICATION FEE :Candidates need to pay an application fee Rs 250 /- for GENERAL/OBC candidates and Rs 50 /- for SC/ST candidates .Application must be accompanied with the prescribed examination fees and processing charges through Challan. Candidate has to approach any nearby SBI Branch with a print out of Challan and deposit the fees for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. The fee has to be deposited in a specially opened Account No: “Power Jyoti” -31932241266 of SBI, Burnpur. On receipt of amount, concerned branch of SBI will issue a Journal Number. Journal Number is then required to be filled up by the candidates during online registration.cCandidate may also note that a certain amount will be paid by them as Bank Charges to the collection branch of SBI in addition to the applicable examination fee/processing charges.

- Click on „Print Challan‟ and take print out of „Bank Challan‟
- Then go to the bank and submit the application amount and bank will provide you the journal number.
- Come back to SAIL Website, www.sail.co.in , click „Careers with SAIL‟ and click on „log in‟ available on the right side of the page with heading „Registered Applicant
- Enter “Registration Number” and “Date of Birth” which you have used for the filling up of application form.
- Click on „Payment details‟.
- Enter all the details in the form and „submit‟. Candidate can take the print out of Registration
