AGE LIMIT AS ON 01-01-2013 :-(i) Minimum  Age  :  18 years  ; Maximum  Age: 26 years (as  on  01.01.2013). Candidates born not earlier than  02.01.1987  and  not later than  01.01.1995,  both days  inclusive are only eligible  to  apply.

PAY SCALE & EMOLUMENTS :-

• The candidates are eligible for a pay scale of Rs.5850 - 200 / 4 – 6650 – 250 / 5 – 7900 – 300 / 4 – 9100 – 350 / 3 - 10150 –  400/ 3 – 11350.
• Selected candidates will be paid emoluments as applicable to Subordinate Cadre Staff under variousRules/Awards/Settlement in force in the employer Bank from time to time.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AS ON 01-01-2013 :-

1. 10th Standard Pass. But should not have passed Class XII or equivalent (ii) Ex-serviceman, who  have Passed/obtained  the Indian  Armymatriculation Certificate  or  corresponding certificate equivalent to 10th Standard  in  theNavy or Air Force, after  having completed  not less than 15  years  of  service  in Armed  Forces  as on  01.01.2013 of the Indian Union are also eligible for the post. Such candidates should pass the language test from the concerned states. Certificates should be dated on or before 01-01-2013.
2. Knowledge of read and write in local language is essential.

PROBATION PERIOD :-The newly  appointed employees  will be on  probationfor a  minimum period  of 6  months.  Before the  probation period comesto an end, the  performance  of the newly recruited employees  will  be  evaluated  and theprobation period  of  those employees whose performance  fails to  meet  Bank’s  expectation, may be extended/ terminated.

APPLICATION FEE (PAYMENT OF FEE (OFFLINE/ONLINE)):-

• OBC/GEN Intimation charge + Application fee : Rs.300/-
• SC/ST/PWD/XS Intimation charges : Rs.50/-
• Fee payment will be accepted from 2nd working day after registration and can be made within three working days at any branch of State Bank of Travancore. System generated fee payment challan will be used for depositing fee. Once fee is paid, the registration process is completed.
• Candidate will receive registration confirmation bySMS/e-mail after THREE working days from the date ofpayment of fees.
• The payment can be made using MASTER/VISA debit/ credit cards or internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction chargesfor online payment will be borne by the candidate.

1. Candidates should have valid email ID. This will help him/her in getting call letter/interview advices etc. by e-mail.
2. Candidates should first scan their photograph andsignature and Candidates to visit Bank's website www.statebankoftravancore.com and open the appropriate Online Application Format given under “Recruitment Link”.
3. Candidates are advised to fill the applicationcarefully.When the data is saved, a provisionalregistration number and password will be generated  bythe system and displayed on the screen. Candidateshould note down the registration number and password.

.SELECTION PROCEDURE :-The  written  test will be of  Objectivetype  consisting  of (i) Mental Ability &Simple Arithmetic  (ii)  General Awareness & current affairs (iii) English language.The questions  in  objective tests, except  for the test  of  General English,  will be printed bilingual  i.e., English  &  Hindi.
