Applications are invited from the eligible candidates by Sports Authority of India(SAI) for the following posts for its Academic Institutions namely NSNIS (Patiala), NSEC (Kolkata), NSSC (Bangalore) and LNCPE, (Thiruvananthapuram) on contract basis for a period of THREE YEARS.

II.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE :-
1.CONSULTANT(ACADEMICS) : Ph. D in any Sports or Sports Science discipline/MD (Medicine)/MD (Orthopedics) and 10 Years experience in Coaching and Teaching
2.ASSISTANT CONSULTANT :(ACADEMICS)Ph.D. in any Sports or Sports Science discipline/MD (Medicine)/MD (Orthopedics)/MD (Sports Medicine) and 05 years experience in Coaching and Teaching.
3.ASSISTANT PROFESSORS(FOR SPORTS COACHING) IN :23 Sports disciplines
(i) with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed ) at the M.Sc. in Sports Coaching/M.Phil. (Sports)/ Ph. D in particular sports from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(ii) Besides, fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test(NET) conducted by the UGC,CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(iii) Now withstanding anything contained in Sub-clause (i) &(ii) above this clause, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with the University Grant Commission (Minimum Standard and Procedure for Award of Ph. D. Degree) Regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent post in university /College/ Institutions
EXPERIENCE :(i)Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized college as Resident/Registrar/ Demonstrator/Tutor.
4..ASSISTANT PROFESSOR :(FOR SPORTS SCIENCS)Ph.D in the relevant subject EXCEPT for Sports Medicine for which M.D. in the relevant field/MBBS with M.Sc. in the relevant subject.M.D. (Sports Medicine)/ M.S. (Orthopedics )/M.D. (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation )/ M.D. (Physiology) with two years experience in sports medicine.
EXPERIENCE(i)Three years teaching experience in the ;subject in a recognized college including medical college as resident/ Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor.
III.AGE LIMIT AND CONSALIDATED REMUNERATION :-
1.CONSULTANT(ACADEMICS) :
i.62 years(maximum)
ii.Upto Rs.1,50,000/- per month.
2.ASSISTANT CONSULTANT :
(ACADEMICS)
i.Maximum 50 years
ii.Up to Rs.80,000/- per month.
3.ASSISTANT PROFESSORS
(FOR SPORTS COACHING) IN :
23 Sports disciplines
i.Maximum 35 years
ii.Upto Rs.60,000/- per month
4..ASSISTANT PROFESSOR :
(FOR SPORTS SCIENCS)
i.Maximum 35 years.
ii.not mentioned
IV.SELECTION PROCEDURE :-The overall selection procedure shall incorporate, objective and credible methodology of analysis of the merits and Credentials of the applicants based on weightages given to the performance of the candidate in different relevant Dimensions and his/her performance on a scoring system Performa, based on the Academic Performance indicators(API)
V.APPLICATION FEE AND PROCEDURE :-
1.A Bank draft for Rs. 500/- (Rs. Five hunderd only) payable to Secretary, Sports Authority of India, payable at New Delhi may be enclosed. The applicants belongs to SC&ST category are exempted from Application fee.
2.The candidate can also download the application format from the Website of SAI i.e.www.sportsauthorityofindia.nic .in.Attested Copies of Certificates showing Date of Birth, Educational Qualifications,Experience and Research etc. must be enclosed along-with the application form and The post applied for may be super-scribed on the top centre of the Envelop.
3.Indian Nationals fulfilling the requirement may send their application in the format given in Annexure to,
