Applications are invited by BPCL from young, energetic, ambitious  Graduate Engineers in the field of  "Mechanical Engineering”  & “Chemical Engineering”  for the post of “Management Trainee”. Mechanical  & Chemical Engineers desirous of pursuing a career with BPCL are required to appear for Graduate Aptitude  Test in Engineering (GATE-2014).

DETAILS OF THE VACANCY :-
NAME OF THE POST : Management Trainee  in the field of  Mechanical & Chemical Engineering.
AGE LIMIT AS ON 01-06-2014 :-

• General Candidates : Maximum 25 years
• OBC (Non Creamy layer) : Maximum 28 years
• .SC/ST: Maximum 30 yearsPWDs with  degree of disability 40% or above  :  Age relaxation of 10 years
• candidates  domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir  between 1.1.1980 and 31.12.1989 : Age relaxation of 5 years.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :-

• Full time,B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) through AICTE/UGC approved Indian Universities / Institute.
• .Candidates should have passed the degree in first attempt. Integrated Courses or courses with 5 year or more course duration would not be eligible for the position.

PERCENTAGE OF MARKS :-

• .Candidates, belonging to General and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer/NCL) categories, should have  secured minimum 60% marks  in qualifying degree examination. The applicable minimum percentage of marks for  Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) /Persons With Disability (PWD)  candidates is 50%.
• Candidates in the final year of engineering studies belonging to General and OBC (NCL) categories,should have secured minimum 60% marks ( in aggregate upto last semester), relaxable to 50% for SC/ST/ PWD  candidates

BRACH / SPECIALIZATION :  Mechanical,Chemical.

MEDICAL STANDARDS :-Candidates provisionally  selected  by BPCL will have to undergo a Pre  Employment Medical Examination before joining. The health of candidates will be assessed by Company's Authorized Medical Officers/nominated Hospitals and the appointment will be subject to meeting the medical standards prescribed by the Company.

SELECTION PROCESS :-

• Gate scores : shortlisting based on Merit in Mechanical, Chemical Discipline.
•  Further Shortlisting : •Group Discssions •Personal Interviews
• Final Selection :Based on Medical Fitness in Pre Employment Medical Examination.

TRAINING & PLACEMENT :- 

• Candidates selected as ‘Management Trainee’ would be on Probation for one year and on successful completion of probationary period, would be confirmed as ‘Executive’ in the respective business unit /entity.
• .Candidates can  be posted  across the country, in any of the businesses / locations or offices including joint ventures & subsidiary companies of BPCL currently in existence and establishments that may be set up in future besides roles on deputation to other organizations.
• .The work profile entails working in shift duties at various operating locations / installations / depots across the country.

EMOLUMENTS & BENEFITS :-

• Candidates selected as “Management Trainee” would be placed in Job Group “A” on a basic salary  of 24,900/- (Scale of Pay ` 24,900 – 50,500). In addition, Dearness Allowance (DA) based on IDA pattern is payable. House Rent Assistance, if applicable will vary based on the class of city of posting.
• The total emoluments at entry level for Management Trainees are presently  `  10.5 Lakhs per annum(approx. cost to company). This includes 50% of Basic Pay as Perks & Allowances, Performance Related Pay & 30% of Basic plus DA as superannuation benefits ( Provident Fund, Gratuity & New Pension Scheme ). Our perquisites include housing / vehicle loan facilities, medical reimbursement for self /dependant family members, LFA, Holiday home facility, Group Savings Linked Insurance Scheme etc.

Appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering – 2014 (GATE-2014) : GATE  2014  Paper  code  for  Mechanical  Engineering  discipline is ME & for Chemical Engineering is CH and GATE  2014  online  examination  is  scheduled  onSaturdays  and  Sundays  between  1stFebruary  2014 and  2ndMarch  2014  for  Mechanical  &  Chemical Engineering discipline.
2. Apply at www.bpclcareers.com for Openings at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited :->On downloading  the  GATE-2014  admit  card  and  receipt  of GATE  registration  number,  candidates  need  to  apply online  on  OFFICIAL  website.  The  relevant  link  would  be made  available  from  20th December  2013  on   career website i.e  www.bpclcareers.in.Candidates  will  require  their  GATE-2014  Registration Number  for  applying  to  BPCL.  The  registration  number  will appear  on  the  GATE-2014  admit  card.
3. Candidate  should  take  a  print  out  of  completed  application,  affix  his/her  recent  passport  size  photograph,  sign  at  the  space provided.  The same will have to be submitted, in case shortlisted for further selection process.
